This is a picture of Sky (dog) and O'Henry (cat) who are best of friends.
For those who don't think cats and dogs can get along this shows you they can be friends.
Sky is the little dog I watch while his mother works and O'Henry is the cat I adopted a few months ago.
Aren't they just the cutest little animals.
Of course my big dogs get along with them also.

I remember when I was a child and living at my grandparent's home. We had a lab and a cat that were great friends. Infact, the lab gave his life for his friend the cat.

What happened that the lab gave his life for his friend the cat? How wonderful a friend who would give his life for his best friend.

Who could have thought that they could be the best of friends Are they of the same size? Looks like they are based on the photo.

They sure are the best of friends. O'Henry is a little bigger than Sky as he is starting to really grow now. When we first adopted him he was a little smaller than Sky.

Lovely photo
I have been saying the same thing. I have countless reasons to prove that. Our Bull Terrier who is supposed to be ferocious and our Kittie were the best of friends - sleeping together, eating together, strolling together even being together when Kittie got her babies.

Isn't it amazing how animals can adapt to each other, we humans could certainly learn from our animal friends, couldn't we?

@Marcyaz I have countless photos of their close friendship. She used to even lick him up dry after his bath. And when he messed in the garden she would cover it the way cats do.

No, you certainly can't ask for a better demonstration of unconditional love as you can see by the photo, right?

I think cats and dogs getting along is much more common than when I was a child. It seemed that the norm then was that dogs hated cats and vice versa. There are dozens of friendly twosomes around now. I love to see the different species getting along.

I had a cat before I got my first dog of the three I have now, the dog was a pup and around when the cat had kittens, I think he thought he was their uncle or dad or something, we were gone when they were born, and came home at the end to find he was waiting for the kittens to pop out, and then he had them cleaned up before the mama did. they all thought they were family

I have even seen where the mother would not wan the new born and it would be given to another to raise. A dog will mother a cat and a cat will mother a dog. They sure do think they are all family.

Yeah, they can be friends. But my dogs considered cats as their enemies here. Well, I don't have cats as my pets.

If your dogs were raised with cats then they would be friends. To bad your dogs consider cats as their enemies.
