So April is a month for poems that is great. Just something light to make up for ga ining weight. A diabetic I should be careful not to blame fate. Count those carbs, take that walk don't be late. April showers and may flowers scent the hours WE spend in the garden with green thumb powers t Bringing in posies to b righten our dismal bowers Much nicer than being locked in London Towers. Always have loved the mo nth of April Pretty flowers abloom trees like Maple Rich in colors from Mother Nature's hand I have seen soft andpretty ,rich and grand.

I look forward to May. Around here when the snow is off the moutnatins then it is time to plant. That is usually about mid May. April is nice for showers and some popping up of a few things. I wish Lilacs would come out.

@Hatley ....We have them for a very short time. I used to have them just outside my kitchen window. I have candles and air spray in the scent of Lilacs and save them for when I am sick or need a lift.

@AnneEJ It akes s ome getting used to but for me the warmer climate is needed for my arthritic knees plus there are s ublte changes of seas on here as winter brings som e weirdly cold mo rnigs but s prings are milder, s ummers not so bad b ut fall of my G its just really hot here like in the 100 F

@Hatley You are blessed having flowers all year around, but I prefer to live where the seasons change

April has inspired many poems - I love the one that starts 'Oh to be in England now that April's there' by Robert Browning. I was in England in March but I am in Greece now it is April. It's very pretty here too, warmer than England but lacking in all those lovely daffodils.

Pretty little poem. Your month of April must be a lot nicer over there than here. For me, I prefer May.
