Baby clothes

Today, i was cleaning the house in the morning and I have identified three areas that need cleaning and de-cluttering on an emergency basis.
One is my pantry, the other my shoes closet and the third a trunk that is full of baby clothes. The first two will be relatively easy but when it comes to clothes, I am always in a quandary.
There are so many memories associated with frocks, baby blankets, baby shoes and though my children are growing up fast, I have clung to some of their clothes they have outgrown. I usually give away clothes worn by my sons because they get worn out quickly. But the baby clothes worn by my three year old daughter are still with me.
I know there are many mothers who would be grateful for baby clothes and there is no point in keeping them anymore because I am definitely not planning to have any more kids but the heart sometimes does not want to do what the mind is saying:)
I hate hoarding up things and there is limited space in the house so I will probably donate them to an SOS Village in our area but I know I will feel sad for a couple of days.
What about you? What do you do with things your kids have outgrown or clothes that you no longer need?

I just got rid of ALL my mother's things because I couldn't take them back to Japan with me. I also have friends who move overseas. One of them suggested "Take a picture of the thing, and then give it to somebody you love." That helped me a lot to not want to hoard stuff.
