Okay, my title is a bit of a misnomer. I am fooling you a bit.
However, the title "trashy neighbors" does indeed fit my topic.
When I got home from work today, I saw a sign written on a piece of notebook paper hung by two thumbtacks waving in the wind. Being a curious sort by nature, I had to have a closer look.
I walked closer until I could read the sign fully. The signed was pinned above a trash can and it said, "This is not a community trash can. Put your trash in your own damn trash can!"
Well, that struck me as funny and I stood there laughing. It wasn't me who has been putting trash in her can but evidently somebody has and she seems very unhappy about it!
If she saw me outside laughing, she probably thinks it's me!

I don't blame people like that though. I can keep picking up my yard of trash but its like never ending. I can't wait to move.

That is kind of odd to me to put up a peice of paper above your own can. Does she live in a house or a duplex or something.

@jahunt So you each have your own trash can then? I would be constantly looking out my window to catch who is doing it lol

@Castlerock34 No, actually, the trash company responsible for picking up the trash has put one trash can outside our complex that supposed to be for all four apartments. The houses on our street get one each. Not exactly fair. She just put one out on her own and with our community trash can overflowing, people (not me) are putting their trash in it.

That is rather humorous. Sounds like some of the neighbors are trying to save money by using others trash cans.

I understand that in some states they practice separating the recyclable from the non recyclable trash and there would be a penalty fine if you do not separate them. So I am wondering if your neighborhood does have this law that made your neighbor feel jumpy about the trash being in their trash bins.

I started laughing when I read what was on the note, so it struck me as funny. But I can understand if she is paying for the garbage how it would upset her that someone is "taking a free ride on her dime."

@jahunt You have free garbage pickup? Is this a statewide thing?
