Good morning,my pear pie is in the oven.
This is the first time in making it.
Remember the banana bread with the dried apricot?it came out great
Mike said that they loved it.Nice and moist.Yes,it was I had a small slice of it.
Hopefully to get some work done in the yard today.
A beautiful day and last into the weekend.
Anyone here doing any baking?
The photo is not mine. This is what is supposed to look when done.
Wish me luck.Have a good one

Pear Pie sounds delicious! Enjoy! I have never baked a pie before - the most baking I've done is just cookies. ![](/Content/images/emotes/happy.gif)

I would venture to think that since pears are such soft fruit that unless you left it in big chunks the pears might be mushy. I've never seen or heard of a pear pie.

@amadeo Interesting, but I can still say I've never heard of a pear pie and I'm into food.

@AbbyGreenhill.These pears were not soft. You sliced the pear and put them in layers and put your mix it.
If you go line you will see many type of pear pie.

I love pies of all kinds, but I have never had a pear pie. I am not baking today, but maybe over the weekend will be my chance.

Good luck with baking your pear pie. We had a pear tree on the farm growing up, and my mother used to bake a lot of various kinds of fruit pies, but I cannot say as though I've ever tried or even heard of a pear pie.
I've got a pear and cucumber melt in my warmer, and I love the smell, so maybe you will love your pie too!

I was wondering how the apricots turned out in your banana bread and glad that it was a success. I never attempted pear pie but I'm sure it will be fantastic
