First off, I'm a big music fan and I always look for some new band/artist to listen to. I try not to discriminate against certain genres but I'm staying away from all 'manufactured music' that mainstream media is throwing at us. I still would most likely give a listen to anything.
Feel free to post anything that you are listening to right now. If might not be from a new band /artist. Here are three songs that are constantly playing in my head, it is the explicit version of 6 foot 7 foot from Li'l Wayne featuring Cory Gunz and Home from Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes.
This one is a blast from the past. Was listening to it for the past week or so cause the band just managed to talk to me on so many levels with their songs, Urbandub's First Of SummerFirst of Summer . Too bad that the band called it quits. Oh well, all good thing must come to an end though.
So, myLotters, what are you listening to right now???

Something from youtube: Emotion Series, Anger. It's a bunch of music that reflects anger in the music. I like it because it gives me chills and feels good. Every now and then the darkness needs entertainment.

@allen0187 They're just done by people sticking different sourced music together, but occasionally you find a gem.

Country! This is one genre that I'm unfamiliar with. Aside from Tim McGraw, do you have any other recommendations?

Right now I'm listening to "Get Up!" by Korn
This is my first time hearing it because I am just playing iHeartRadio on my Roku but I was pretty into it.
"Inside The Fire" by Disturbed came on right after that, I am so in love with this band,,,
I have been listening to the new album from Papa Roach a lot lately though

Aside from the classic rock greats (Led Zeppelin, Hendrix, Cream, etc) I love some Arctic Monkeys, Black Keys, Hozier, and Marty Robbins.

Well, I recently discovered the Ska/Punk group Streetlight Manifesto. I've been an avid Punk listener for years but that classic Ska sound (trumpets et al) makes the band stand out. I'd suggest you to start with their debut album 'Everything Goes Numb'. It's one of those rare albums where I've liked every single track. And for something that came out in 1999, it has stayed incredibly fresh.

Ok. When people are happy, people tend to listen to the melody of the song. When people are sad, they tend to listen to the lyrics.
