When drones can be good

Usually, I do not like the idea of having drones around at all. I think they can mess with privacy and also with nature (and birds don't like them much either.) However, after the Kyushu earthquakes where drones were sent up to find out what kind of damage has been done, I can see a good use for them in disaster situations. They can go much more quickly and cheaply than a helicopter and go into tighter places to see damage so that the authorities can better plan how to help people. What do you think of drones?

I agree that they were being used for good in that situation. But I think they could be an invasion of privacy in the hands of some people.

I hadn't thought of this use for them but you are right. They would be extremely useful in such situations. In most other cases, I think they are intrusive and 'unfriendly'.

That is a good idea to use drones! I do like how drones take nice photographs and what not but they're not allowed at a lot of areas.

I've never really thought about them, but I can see the advantages in situations like natural disasters.

I'd not thought of using them in that manner before, and it does sound like a good idea. i don't agree with their use otherwise.

That kind of use is good. But I've been reading about the lack of privacy some show when it comes to drones. And that isn't good. We should be able to maintain our privacy and keep drones only for emergency and military situations.
