I prefer my pasta with a little bit of butter. To me it seems that the butter actually gives the pasta a better flavor than using oil. I sometimes use oil while cooking the pasta so that it does not stick to each other but as for once the pasta is cooked, I will only use butter.

butter is great for me if i'll be making a tomato sauce for the pasta i have. olive oil should be if i'd like my pasta as salad or the french sauce spaghetti.

I prefer pasta in butter... though I'm not really big on butter... butter will add more flavor to pasta compared to oil
