Lately we are busy with preparing for my son to go to grade 7 school. My son is one of a French horn players in the primary school. I hope he can go to a good high school because of his French horn ability.
Two days ago I received a message from a high school teacher and asked my son to have an interview in Sunday morning this week. At night another parent contacted me as her son was another French player in my son's school but they didn't hear from this high school yet.
In fact I should be glad since it means a candidate is out. But on the other hand, I felt bad because I totally understood her feelings. So finally I decided to give the teacher's mobile phone number to her so that she could contact the teacher to see what's wrong.
I don't know whether I am right or wrong. If I didn't do so, perhaps I would not forgive myself or I would feel guilty in my life. Although there may be one more candidate, but I still hope my son will do it well. Wish him luck

for me, i wouldnt give the teachers mobile number. not unless i have the permission to give out her number to others. but even so, the teacher/s might be in the middle of a decision making or something. i dont wanna ruin it haha.. but im happy for you and your son. i wish him goodluck.

If one day you will be the parent, you may understand this feeling Of course I hope the best for my son. But whenever I think about others who may be out of the interview because of a mistake, I hesitate. If my son was the same situation, I would feel bad. I know she feels bad and perhaps it will give her a little hope to contact the teacher.

The high school is not as close as primary school. We don't know which high school he will go to at the end. So I guess normally it will spend about half an hour for him to go there by public traffic. As you know, I have to think about walking, traffic jam etc. Normally half an hour shall be enough.

It's so nice of you, but I hope it's okay for you to give away the teacher's mobile phone number. I can understand you, but I believe your son will always perform well, whether or not there's another candidate.
How was the interview going on?

You are right. She didn't get a message until night and therefore it means her son may not be qualified. But somewhat I think perhaps there is a mistake and her son was missed. It will make me feel better to give this parent the teacher's number so that she can figure it out the reason by herself.
