More rain for Northern California!

I just took this picture of my balcony and the parking lot beyond. In it, you can see my two tall sunflower plants, a sunflower start, a couple of succulents, end even one of my my snow pea plants. But most importantly, you can see the wet pavement below. It's been raining slow and steady for several hours, which should be good for all of our gardens, not to mention the water table.
Our Spring has been mostly sunny and fairly cool thus far--quite pleasant. And the hills are still green. But I am always glad when it rains here, especially given the drought we've been experiencing the last few years.
How's the weather where you are? Do you have some things planted?

Sounds like you got the bulk of the rain - down here we're still not getting enough of it. We had like 45 minutes straight of some real rain earlier last week - but that's it. Now we're back to summer weather although it's supposed to cool off a bit. We actually bought some plants - but all for indoor - and they won't need a lot of watering supposedly. We have a jade plant we've had forever which is doing well outdoors - and in my son's class, their sunflowers have started as well!

Our weather here has been about the same as yours it sounds like. Afew days of warm and then we have a storm. I like the break actually.

We haven't had rain since March. Hoping for some in the succeeding months.
There are no plants near my place.

California needs more rain. (But not floods)

Once you've been through a drought you're not so inclined to fuss about the rain, are you? Our paddocks are greening up too and we're getting periodic rain which is good - and it's getting inland to the farming areas which is another good thing.

we will plant everything in a couple of weeks. We usually do our planting the first week of May. All the farm lands around here are ready for planting. Good you are getting some much needed rain.

@TheHorse Yup corn is a big crop here as well as soy beans, Illinois is the leading producer of corn and soy beans as a matter of fact. In my area they also grow chives and you can smell them during the summer which I just love. More often than not our corn is way higher than knee high by the fourth of July. Yup I have heard that saying about corn.

60's and 70's all weekend.
At first I thought the third plant was a drink.

The rain season is heavy on my regiĆ³n! We had a heavy hailstorm three days ago and yesterday another round of heavy showers. I guess this is going to continue for the rest of the month and the following weeks, as is customary.

A nice homely photo especially for someone like me who loves to take a peak in other people's gardens. The weather here is warm towards hot, and it has come rather early this year. I planted some seeds late and they are fighting to get their roots down before the soil get hard and dry. My favourite latest planting is 'rocket' which germinates in two days! I am waiting for French marigolds to get big enough to put into the garden. I had sunflowers a couple of years ago too and it was a pleasure to watch them grow.

We've had a rain free week but it's likely we'll have showers later in the day. Otherwise it looks like clear weather ahead

It has been sunny and spring/summerlike here in SoCal. We are pleased that you are getting rain, even if we are not. We might get some this coming Thursday. The forecast shows 50% chance, but I don't believe it unless I see 60% or over.
