Mystery Mail

I took this picture of my mysterious mail.

I got an envelope in the mail today. There was no note of explanation. The only thing in it was a coupon for a free pack of yogurt from a store in California. I live in Florida and do not know why the store sent me this coupon. I do not know if they even sell it where I live. Can anyone offer an explanation or a theory about why I got this mysterious coupon? I am completely mystified.

You must be on a marketing list of some sort. I hope you can find a store that carries that brand in Florida.

I am sure my name is out there. I have just never gotten a coupon in an envelope with nothing else.

@DianneN It is always lovely to get a surprise in the mail that is not a bill or junk.

Perhaps the coupon can be used online. I live in Florida and haven't seen coupons similar to that.

It is a piece of paper a regular coupon. I will search and see if I can get it around here. It is for a multi pack so that sounds like a good deal. If I like it, I can start buying it.

Could it have been through the store where you buy groceries? If you have a "loyalty card" for them, they have your address and everything. I think that because the store name was in California doesn't mean the product isn't sold in other stores.

I will have to check. I shop at Walmart and there is no loyalty card for that.

@peavey And I appreciate you doing that. I wanted theories and that is a good one.

Was it actually sent to you by name? And not to "occupant"? Do you have friends in CA with a silly sense of humor?

I have relatives there. My brother, his wife, and his grown daughters. But it came from this store and none of the relatives live in Berkley.

Yes, my name. That is why it is so strange.

@akalinus I suspect a friend. Or maybe your name was "sold" by someone shady you bought something from.

Silly, you just need to fly to CA to use the coupon. What would you do without me?

And somehow, I lived most of my life without you. What was I thinking?
