Man, Do You Hairdry Your Nether Area?

In Iceland men are not allowed to use public swimming pools' hairdryers to dry up their "balls." They should bring their own hairdryers! Holy smoke, this is my first time to learn that there are men drying up their balls with hairdryers after showering! I always use towels (I got 2 in our bathroom) never a hairdryer. For me using a hairdryer to dry up area below the belly button, though it may feel finger-licking-good, is dangerous. But this one is good hygiene - all Icelanders are required to shower nude before diving into the swimming pool. I wonder if they have a unisex shower room, where men and women could shower at the same time!? Is there anyone here who blow-dries using hairdryers their below the belly button area? No one?!

It never even popped into my mind as a thought. I just use a towel or two to dry off.

I got absorbent towels (2) in our bathroom. The hairdryer of my wife is in the bathroom but never thought using it.

Interesting read! Shouldn't it be much safer to just shave down there than blow dry?

@toniganzon - - with a Gillette shaver for beards . . .but not a barber's knife! Ahu, that would be very dangerous! I don't even think about it!

@brokenbee Since that area is susceptible to static electricity - - It is a very sensitive section of our external body. What if everything shrinks due to static electricity? Or even worse, due to high voltage! Patay!

I don't do it, but I've heard of it being recommended for women who get yeast infections a lot. Drying off with a hair dryer down there after showers to make sure everything is good and dry apparently will decrease the risk of getting one.

In our house, I have 4 boys, the 3 are my sons and my husband but they don't use any hairdryers because we have none here, they use only towels and I think they are contented with it and I think it really dries their below the belly button area. Lol!

Imissed this post, I saw it on the right site while reading another. I do not know if in Iceland they have unisex showers, but in the northern countries (like Sweden and Norway) I know that this is the case.

huwat? i don't even blow dry my hair after bath, just in front of the electric fan or finger-comb it, then it gets dry.

Interesting topic Julito. Is there any scientific reasoning for doing so?
