I overdrew on my bank card to get gas to keep from being stranded. Then, I used another card that I had a tiny bit of money on to get something for dinner. I had a bit of loose change to add to that card to finish out the purchase. I had to go to the bathroom at the gas station. At least I still know which one to use. There's always that...
Thank God tomorrow is Friday and payday for me. Yay Friday!
I'm so ready for it...
Hope everyone has a great Friday and weekend!

I have had to roll change in order to drop $10 in the gas tank to keep it moving. My payday is every other Friday. Makes it a wee bit tight after the first week. Thank goodness that my husband gets paid weekly and I can rely on him for some quick cash if needed.

The kids wanted pizza for dinner. Little Ceaser's to be exact. I checked my account and had $88. We had pizza, but now I am closer to broke than I want to be. Tomorrow is pay day for me too, thank goodness!

My husband helped a couple today who were paying in pennies to put a couple bucks in their tank. He gave them $5. Like you they don't get paid until tomorrow. I am glad my husband was there to help them. I hate when people get stranded and no one will help...

Doesn't it cost more to overdraw you bank card? I believe my bank charges $25 if overdrawn (money that is forever gone). I contacted my bank and told them to stop any purchases on my bank card if it is going to be an overdraw. It makes me more aware of where and how I'm spending my money when I know I can't spend more than I have. I guess it takes a lot of planning to not find yourself in the situation you found yourself in. I'm not saying I have never found myself in a tight squeeze. I've driven my car to work "on fumes" a couple of times. I hope if you were being charged an overdrawn fee you filled your car up or at least bought as much gas as you planned to buy to last you until your next payday. It may sound silly, but if you are going to be charged the same overdraw fee for $50 as you are for $10 you might as well fill you vehicle up.

@jahunt Just out of curiosity, have you ever ran out of gas in your vehicle? I ask because most people don't know how much gas they have left when the needle points to E. I found my car still has about 3 gallons left when the needle is on the E. That's about another 75 miles I can drive on E. I know that's pretty nerve raking to drive around with the needle on E, but I've done it. I've driven my car until the needle was pass the E and didn't run out of gas.
