No Referral Programs

Isn't it sad that there are no referral programs any more?
I enjoy myLot and would love to invite my friends to join, but the redesigned site has no mention of referrals. Sure I still can ask my friends to join, but money is always a better push.
I think myLot is only missing out on a lot of new users and added earnings unless they begin a thought with the referral
program.
What do you think?

I believe, and this is my opinion only, that if the referral program had added value to the myLot experience it would still be here. When I invite my friends to a website I do it to share with them, not to earn from them.

My view on referral programs (in general) is that it is fine to be rewarded with a little for promoting a program and getting others to join. That, in my view, should be a one-off payment because the work that I do in promoting, persuading and helping the person become a good member is a one-off effort. To expect anything more (such as a percentage of my referral's earnings) is being greedy and, to a certain extent, parasitic. It is wrong to expect that, just because I have shown someone else the way to something, I should benefit perpetually for their efforts.
In fact, if you think about it, because of the way that the earnings program works, MyLot DOES have a way of rewarding you for introducing friends because every friend you introduce (provided that they become good and dedicated members) is likely to be someone who will respond to your discussions, comment on your responses and interact with you in general. That is what friends do and that is the only way that you will earn anything here. Naturally, also (if you are worth your salt), you will be interacting with and helping the people you have introduced.

You can still invite them as there is more here than earning.

I think it's better without the referral program anymore. I don't like to invite my friends here so i could earn money from them.

i don't know where you got that picture but i'd like to react about 'upload photos'. it's not required that we attach an image every time we post, and we don't earn additional for it.

@Dishari A picture does make a post a little more attractive, perhaps, but that one conveys inaccurate information (uploading pictures and referring others does NOT earn anything - except indirectly, as I pointed out). I suggest that you change it for something more appropriate.

I understand that, but no doubt a picture makes the post more attractive.

I doubt that, we used to have a referral program before and unless you have members who are regularly posting , it does not make much difference. I had a few referrals earlier and none of them were active so it was my work alone that earned for me .

Yeah I know, that's what I am saying. That it's not available in the new program.

I'm OK with or without referral programs. There only been one time that I can recall that I actually earned from referrals. I earned the points and then didn't get paid. The site closed its doors. Ah well! Such is life!
