I have been ill most of this year. I found that my resistance is way lower than it should be.
Many of the students have been coming into the classroom with runny noses, big huge loud sneezes and coughs that won't quit. Not their fault.
So, we have been going into school, students and teachers alike, feeling bad and spreading germs. What else can you do? there has been so much sickness this past year that if we took off every day we didn't feel good they would most likely have to close the school.
Anyway, my doctor told me Thursday that I should be getting germy a lot less once I retire. I hope so.
Here's to everyone feeling good and healthy. Hope you have been well.

People should stay at home when they have a virus. Coughs and sneezes spread diseases and there is no escape from it once you are in crowded public areas. I see a lot of asians wearing face masks to avoid catching viruses. I don't know if this works, but it's worth a try.

Opening doors and windows to air out a classroom can be healthy as well.

@Orson_Kart I believe you should stay home if you are sick. However, if I stayed home this year when sick I would never go out the door. The face mask do help.

Sorry to hear you have been sick so much. I think you should do some research on strengthening your immune system. I did hear that the cold this season has been worse than usual and sticks around longer. My grandson had a cough that lasted for a couple months. I was beginning to wonder. I called and talked to a nurse who told me this was normal for this season's virus. Ugh!

Once you retire it is true you will have less exposure. You also will have less stress so that will increase your immune system. Do things that are healthy for your digestion, believe it or not, and you will also have better immunity.

@GardenGerty the stress will definitely be less. I have heard that stress will cause a lot of things. I have been trying to eat better.
@mhike_ghelo eating better does help Now I have to lessen the stress. That will happen when I retire.

Please take your vitamin c to boost your immune system. A little exercise might help too.

You need to boost your immune system by taking the right vitamins such as vitamin C. The school doctor should also consider looking at the children to avoid contamination and at least prevent any diseases. I hope you get better soon and have a nice rest as well. Stay healthy and eat a lot of fruits.

@HazySue I always had the stuffy nose and sneezing everytime I wakes up in the morning.. feeling very sick. I thought it was a bad weather or germs.
Then my doctor found out it was my allergy. They called it the hey fever.
So I take one tab of antihistamine before bedtime so I could have a light morning the next day.

@jndlponti I keep getting an upper respiratory infection and fluid in my lungs. I used to think it was allergies.

The pollen this Spring has been rough on me. My nose is always running and I sneeze a lot. I have to take an allergy medicine.
