48 days of Lent are coming to an end.
Passion Week started on Monday. Church people clean their accomodations, bodies, souls. The first ones with broom and cleaning fluid. The second ones with bath sponge and soap. The third ones with confession.
Good Friday was a Day of Sorrrow and today is the Day of Holy Awaiting.
Those beleive in God ask questions to themselves, whether they could keep the fast properly from their point of view. Do they deserve Sunday joy in full? Did they try to help people, read the Bible and abstain from certain food?
Today i attended church ceremony of eggs and Easter cakes consecrating and put all these products in the fridge until tomorrow or today's midnight.
At midnight there will be a sacred ceremony of receiving the Holy Fire and people will greeet each other with "Jesus is resurrected!" - "Indeed" phrases.
Every Orthodox church bell tower will be available for visiting tomorrow.
Happy Easter!

@Jessicalynnt It's always two weeks later. Same with Christmas. It has to do with a change of calendars which one Christian church followed and the other didn't.

In very rare cases (once in 4 or 12 years) dates are equal
