Springtime in the Rockies

As I was walking yesterday I was enjoying the light green leaves against the dark green of the evergreens. And enjoying both of them against the backdrop of the snow capped mountain and the blue clear sky. I don't think my picture has done the view justice.
We have spent most of our three weeks skiing up on a mountain where there is still lots of snow. But that snow has deteriorated a lot and we are done with skiing.
I could spend our final week enjoying hiking or cycling on the many wonderful trails here. But to my husband, mountains are for skiing and we might as well go home if we are not skiing!
It will be nice to get busy getting the garden ready to plant.

@AbbyGreenhill Well we ended up coming home a week early. Three weeks seemed quite a while to be away

The ski hill we were at (Sunshine village) will close on May 23. There is generally enough snow to ski well after that but so few people go that it is not worth staying open. This had been such a warm spring that the skiing is not as good as we are used to so my husband doesn't want to ski anymore. I could happily keep skiing or find other wonderful things to do here. But home looks good after 3 weeks away too.

I think your picture is absolutely beautiful
Skiing is never something I ever had any desire to do but hope your husband can find at least another trip down the mountain before the snow melts

Looks gorgeous. Our spring has finally arrived in full force. A few more days and all the leaves on the alders will be out. Looks a lot better now. Not just sticks and mud to look at.

Here in the east there is just patches of snow on the mountains, but our mountains are so much older than yours. I loved skiing in the Rockies, years ago when I was so young. Love the photo.

@PainsOnSlate I am doing okay. I seem to be busy and I don't seem to have anything to write about. But I am around now and then and plan to be here daily soon. But not for hours!

I think the picture looks really good. I have not been skiing in years. But I do love going for walks in the mountains and swimming. There is no swimming pool in this town that I can find.

Your picture is beautiful, but I understand as most pictures can't do justice to what the eye sees. Spring is definitely here and even I am enjoying the warm weather, as long as it doesn't get too hot.

If you think your pic doesn't do the view justice, then the view must be truly amazing.
