Between the rain showers and storms we have been having, I try to go for a walk when I can. On this day, I walked to the front part of our property where we have not cut the grass in the field yet.
There were lots of wild flowers growing and butterflies were feasting! These two little beauties are American Painted Ladies. They are very common here in southern Oklahoma. They seemed to stay together where ever they went. They were very busy, going from flower to flower, but they did stay still long enough for me to get a picture or two.
What kind of butterflies do you have in your area?

Good shot. There is an occasional monarch butterfly here.

Thank you, @JohnRoberts Monarchs are only occasional around here too. Their numbers have greatly declined over the years.

I have no idea at all what kind of butterflies are there in here. I just know they're all pretty

We get painted ladies here in Southern California, too. They are such festive little butterflies!
