when the weather turns warm ...

When the weather turns warm everybody seems to come out of hibernation.
As an example, the fairweather cyclist. He refuses to brave the cold, wet, dull days of winter but has the lycra ready for pulling on when the sun peeks out from the clouds. Off he cycles, into the distance, feeling fabulous and relishing the wind rushing past his ears.
Then there's those who decide that spring is jogging season. In my experience this tends to be lone men, trying to beat their own personal best for getting from There to Here and back again, and pairs of women who use it as an excuse to both get fit and gossip.
And don't get me started on pregnant women! I have no idea where they hide in winter, but the spring weather seems to encourage them, in the same way it encourages butterflies to flutter and ants to build nests and girls to paint their toenails. Women I had no idea were pregnant suddenly sprout bellies that scream, look at me, I'm having a baby!
Neighbours start talking to each other in the street. They hang around their cars after work and natter to people they haven't seen all winter as everybody has been cooped up inside their warm cosy homes. When did that neighbour have a baby?! I had no idea that dog lived there! Where have all these children playing in the street come from?!
I like spring ... it brings out more people and that means I have more people-watching to indulge in.

I suspect the pregnancies start during the winters staying in with husbands and boyfriends and the growing bump becomes more visible in Spring/Summer

I think I just notice because they wear more summery clothes!

@poppylicious Those swollen bellies are the result of long dark winter nights in the house with nothing to do!! I wonder statistically at which time of the year most babies are conceived.

I would assume there isn't that much difference statistically, but it would be interesting to know for sure.

Very good share and very nice photo. Even frogs hibernate and aestivate.

I would love to visit India but I don't cope well with the heat you have!

@Poppylicious Please do. India is a very vast land mass. Last winter I spent in the -20* Celsius in the north of my country. It was terribly discomforting but it was an awesome experience!
