Yes, my Mom recognized me and even call me by my name. She didn't call me Sis, Mads or anyone and I'm happy to hear her calling my name. This is the first time she called me my name for a year and this happens this morning when I give her meal. I give her oats and a slice of ripe papaya, maybe she likes the ripe papaya because it is very sweet and she asked me to add some, she told me, Ida, please give me some papaya and it makes my eyes full of tears because of happiness.
When she recognized me, it makes me happy even if I know it is only a temporary condition but still I love it that way.
How I wish, she can recognized us all.

Awww, God Bless. It sounds like your mom has some form of dementia or Alzheimers. I know people who have that have some clear days. I am so glad she was able to recognize you, that must have made your day!

@ida123 Oh, sorry about that. I think there's no cure to that, right?

So glad to hear that, I don't think I have talked to you since your mom became ill. My mom had a stroke and although she knows who we are, she thinks we are still small as she is living in the past. I hope one day she will be back with us in memories. Glad to know that your mama remembered your name and called you by it, that is such a great feeling.

@Ida123 . . I am sorry I have not read your post about your mother. What happened to her? She is afflicted with dementia?
