Carabao mango or tumok banana? I just had my lunch, a good and hearty lunch today. I love the freshwater shrimp which we called udang cooked as sinigang. Love the taste and I really never worry about the maintenance for high blood this time. But after the lunch, here comes the dessert, sweet and fresh fruits. Filipino much prefer the fruits as dessert than salads and sweets. So, in the table we have the carabao mango and the banana variety which we call 'tumok'. These two are best in the table for desserts. Who would care pineapple or watermelon as long as these two are in the table. Especially now that abundance of mango is in the season, you could really have the luxury of having them. I choose the mango. Love the taste of Philippine mango ripe naturally.

Crabao mangoes. Really sweet and nice for dessert. Love it much. But still too expensive here in Manila.

Hi! I really love mangoes, even its expensive i still buy from supermarkets. the only risk is, when its out of season its not usually sweet. Carabao mango is the variety that is sweet when ripe but sour when raw unlike the perico variety. You are lucky, you are from a place where mangoes are abundant and cheap. Anyway, May to June is the season for mangoes and i am sure the price in supermarkets will be more affordable. Well, enjoy your mangoes!
