Almost everyone who is on myLot is willing to help someone else learn better English. some people would rather you just read their discussions without actively teaching you anything, but others are willing to actively help you by constructively suggesting alternative words/spellings and by defining words you don't recognize... (It would help us to help you if you actively ask us what words mean and how they are used in a sentence. Some people here would feel they are insulting your intelligence if they see you write something using the wrong word and they correct you.
We need to know your likes and dislikes so there are no misunderstandings of that nature.
Do you WANT us to point out when you've used a word incorrectly? Do you WANT us to define words you may not recognize? (I am bad about using words not regularly used in the English language, not because I am trying to confuse anyone, or because I want others to believe I am smarter than them but because I have a memory problem.) For several years now, when writing something or speaking, I have been known to completely lose a word I just said a moment ago. Or I lose it right before I need it in my sentence(s).
This use to really frustrate me, so I started using whatever word means the same or as close to the same definition as the word I want, as I can get. I read a LOT, so have a big vocabulary. The problem I often run into is that I am slightly older, so heard old fashioned words used when I was a kid. I still retain those words and one of them could be what my brain throws into the place of a word I just forgot.
Many people don't know the old fashioned words I use, so I have to give a definition of it when someone asks. I have no problem doing that, but people do have to tell me they don't know what I said!
What other type of help can we give you? Let us know and we will try to acommodate your request(s).

You're actually good in writing. You just need to practice it when it comes into communicating.

Did you write this post yourself? It is very well written. I think you have a good grasp of grammar, too. Reading would be good. Look up words you don't know. Listen to people speaking English. Practice writing here. I think you are doing well, already.
