Do you know how to design a website?

Right from the scratch?
Like doing the coding by yourself (preferably in Java, I am open to others too.), database connectivity, style sheets, etc. Essentially the whole back end process.
I know all of that. But I need someone to once run me through all of those steps.
I want to observe how you work on that and follow each step.
The hosting part too!

A Website built with Java? you are not going to make a website for some multi-natonal MNC or even the Government Agencies...
Java Websites require a lot more (yes lots more) than the simpler ones that are done via HTML, CSS, PHP and stuff like these - which should be the better one to start with... as you know the coding part.

@thesids I don't know PHP. HTML and CSS I know. Should I learn PHP? What is the best language for website design is? My brother designs using Adobe. He is graduate in Animation. That is whole another game. lol
Suggest me something good please. So, I can prepare myself.

@thesids I want to learn for knowledge. Incomplete knowledge irks me. lol I want to complete that.
Using it for career or not is undecided. I know C++ and C#. I guess I will look into tutorials of PHP then.

@wiLLmaH LOL Yeah it can be difficult. At least those are already designed and programmed. I wish to know about designing it from scratch. lol No ready made templates.

@JudyEv Mere instructions wouldn't help anyways. Knowledge of computer languages and other stuff will be needed.

@Lucky15 @Daljinder Sorry to disappoint you both, but DJ is correct. My daughter is the one who took classes for Setup and design of a website, not me. I helped her with the programming, but she knew how to put it together, not I.

No, I have never tried setting up a website. My daughter has set up several.
I coached her through the programming, but I did not have time to do more than observe to make sure no glitches developed. The sites have been up and running for a while now, so I would say together we got it right. (Three sites. One is two years old. The next is just under two years and the third about six months.) I think I made mention of this when she and I were working on it, DJ?
I can ask her if she has any planned. If she does, I am sure she would let you observe, should you wish it?

@DaddyEvil Could it be possible whenever she is free or have another one coming in the future, a video could be made of it? You have my e-mail already. There is no rush and it is not necessary. I don't want to trouble her since she has her own things to do. Only if it is no trouble at all, I will appreciate it very much!

@Daljinder I've ask, DJ. She says she hated doing the work and does not plan on ever doing another one.
I am sorry. If she does do one, she says she will screen shot each step and I can send those to you, but she didn't think it would happen, hon.

@DaddyEvil I imagine creating website from scratch is a tedious work for sure. No worries DE. I only asked for general knowledge. I don't have anything important on hold up because of this. So, it's not a bother at all. Thank you for the consideration and asking your daughter for a favor on my behalf. I really appreciate it!
