Definitely a day for hot food

They say our current weather is more like March than May and that it will continue that way for a while. I think I will make a pot of beans today. We will actually eat it tomorrow. Today I have German sausage cooked with potatoes and onions. I have had my share of coffee for this morning, but I will be drinking tea. I believe I will put a slice of ginger root in it to warm me in another way. Is it chilly where you are? Is it supposed to be chilly where you are? We should be having weather warm enough to swim!!

Living up here on the 13th floor, it's pretty windy. My bedroom window is open and it's comfortable in there. But if I open the window in here (living room), I'd blow away! lol It's chilly outside but our building is so hot that cooler air feels good. My heat is off but I have a couple of blankets on the bed. I'm in a tshirt and shorts and it feels pretty good (although there's wind howling outside my door!)

I can imagine how you can feel the wind up there. I am just on top of a hill. We have a blanket and spread on the bed, but we also have a heated mattress pad.Today is not a shorts day for me.

@GardenGerty I've heard it's chilly outside again today but I have windows open and the breeze feels wonderful. Our hallways are blazing hot all the time so it takes a little work to cool off the apartments. Mine is just about perfect right now. :)

For us March had more May-like weather than May has had so far. It is my belief this summer will be mediocre, with the weather being in the 80s one day and in the 50s the next.

That sounds very much like what I anticipate.

We have had some extremely hot weather for this time of the year. Already hitting the high 80's and into the low 90's a few days. This week it is quite a bit cooler. Rain and 70's today with lows in the 30's first thing in the morning.

We seem to have breezes most of the time here. I know it will get hot, but for now it is downright cold.

@GardenGerty it was certainly cool last night, still is outside, but the sun is out now so I bet it will change

Our weekend was rainy and overcast but not below the 70s. That's actually decent weather for growing vegies. This morning there is actually a bit of blue sky peeping from the clouds.

70's are good, even with rain. If you have rain you do not have to water.

@sallypup I know the gardens here are really soaking up slow rain.

@GardenGerty Yes on not needing to water. The slow night rain drips really get the moisture into the ground better than my efforts.

Very cold here today and windy, even got a few snow flurries. I can remember my mom making a crock of baked beans, usually on Saturday, and it would be enough to last for several days. I haven't made them for ages, no point when you live alone.

I just make regular pinto beans. And some kind of bread, usually corn bread.

It is a dry season in my country. Since I am living in the mountainside of the Philippines, we usually experience monsoon rain in the afternoon. But I am used to this kind of weather.

I do not mind the rain, but being cool is not fun.

It was a leftover meal, but there is nothing wrong with that.

It is not chilly, but not hot enough to swim either.

Enjoy your pleasant temperatures. I sometimes feel like we jump from one extreme to the other with no middle ground.

Not only is it chilly but very windy so that makes it feel like it's colder than it actually is. Once again I'm wearing cold weather clothes and wonder if I'll ever put them away this year.

I have layers on today, and socks and shoes. I did wear shorts a couple of times.

Our weather is very pleasant again although we can expect rain in a day or two. But we need the rain so it doesn't bother me much.

I think we always need rain, but the temperatures are holding around 60 F and I think it should be warmer
