Today seems to be a bad day for me. on of my best friends from when i was a child tried to end her life today. she has been like a second mother to me almost my whole life. I am the god mother of her children and today I got the call that i honestly never expected. she was always happy, first one to jump in to talk to anyone if they needed help. or just someone to talk to. I dont know what happened she never showed any kind of signs of being that depressed. I have known her forever and I never saw the signs. I love her so much and now im scared that im going to loose her. she swears that she does not remember doing it. she doesnt know how she got the drugs she took, she doesnt remember taking them and she doesnt know why she would. I honestly dont know how to help her. I have been her for her all this time and she never once came to me for help. I dont know how to help now other than be there for her through this all and make sure that her kids are taken care of. but even then there isnt much for me to do since one is now grown and the other is almost grown. All i want to do at this very moment is cry.

I am SO sorry! There is not much you can do except, as you say, being there. I hope everything is under control and that she is out of danger. When people are depressed they need people around to watch over them.

It is sad to hear that. I am sure she needs you right now and be her side at all times. Some people don't show that there are weak, but deep inside they are shattered. I hope she will turned to a new leaf and learned to embrace the importance of life.
