I won't go back to that road

Even though I woke up late this morning I still manage to do some stretching and went on another day of exercise. This time I saw an old man who passed through me and saw in the church as people also do some round walks there.
But every time I cross this road, these two dogs kept getting close and barking at me. I think i made a mistake last time they got close because I raise my hand side as a caution, but they ran away some how and started barking. Maybe they thought I was going to hit them or something. For safety reasons, I won't go back to that part of the neighborhood, just to sure. Though I'm glad the old lady kept them at bay but I don't wanna push my luck, there are other places to walk to.

Are you scared of animals or dogs? If don't, I think maybe you should choose one early day to walk to that way again and try to make the dog feeling that you are safe for them. So that in the future, you can walk to any way you want.

I shouldn't be since I have four dogs at home, and they can be territorial. That one mistake is probably something they remember me by @LilySmile I've passed other neighborhoods, the dogs there didn't seem to bother me.

Hello @Marcyaz it's already a nice exercise, it's only the places that I go to that sometimes can be troublesome.

A dog whisperer advised us regarding dogs. He said when you are approaching another people's dog and want to pet it, don't ever do it without the master. And when you do pet it make sure that your palm should be facing up and not down. To dogs, raising a hand with palm face down is a sign of aggression.

I wouldn't even pet my elder brother's dog even though they know me because there's still a chance that they could bite me @toniganzon

@toniganzon Well, sometimes I just gathered my balls to just ignore them when they bark.

we have a belief that when a barking dog approaches you, you should bite your tongue (so he won't bite you); another one is you twist your tongue to either left or right, and that is where the dog will go. hahaha! weird but sometimes i do the biting of my tongue.

Hello @ridingbet there was even a prayer to a certain saint that should protect you from the dogs aggression. Not sure I didn't try that belief yet.

@Letranknight2015 i think he is St. Christopher, or St. Francis of Assisi? yes, there is a saint for protection, and animal saint as well.

Hello @MGjhaud This reminds me of my other brother's dogs, they've been tied for a long time. I couldn't imagine what would happen if they are let out.

good one bro :) but yet i wont agree with this. If you think yourself as a stranger to those dogs you would definitely get those backward reactions. But if you could develop a positive thought about it in your mind, try that path for one more time. You will find it interesting connecting with those lovely creatures.

It's a good idea that you should find another route for your daily exercise.
