What is it like to have money
Myself I’ve never really had much money so to speak off, and currently, in my wallet there isn’t much but wished there was money.
I’ve always liked to have more money than I do, be able to do what I want, not having to worry about bills or what food I have to buy. I guess it’s the way life is dealt to you., no matter what you try to do, it never seems to work and you don’t have much show for it all. I guess you are lucky and ever thing works for you no matter what you do.
They say if you have no money you worry and if you have money then you still worry, but if you do have money then at least you don’t have to worry about bills and what food you are going to have on the dinner table.
Maybe one day I’ll strike it rich, if only.

I dont need to be rich, I just wish that things were all paid for, and there were enough savings in the bank that something breaking wasn't a crisis

@Marty1 I currently have £5 or $7.50 in my wallet. It would be great to have $1,000 but I don't.

I've felt rich before.
I was in my early 20's, working for as a banquet server for a company that serviced two hotels and a convention center. "Twin City Quarterly" is what we were called. Anyway, I'd get paid every two weeks and the paychecks were easily $800 - $1000.
I didn't save that money though, afterall I was in my early 20's and thought I knew it all.
The work wasn't worth the money though. I mean it was too grueling, too stressful on me so I quit. Heck I even dream about the place from time to time, usually non pleasant dreams.
I'd love to be in a place where I could spend money comfortably, buying the "Richy" foods and indulging instead of saving and scraping by as I do now.

@kevin1877uk Exactly! I don't even really care for the lifestyle, just the ability to be able to pay for whatever I wanted or needed regardless of whether I did or not, that' dbe great.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Yes that would be so nice, just to be able to pay for things and not saying, I can't afford that.

I just want enough money to not worry about paying bills on time. Or not worry about Peter knocking on your door with his hand out because you had to rob him to pay Paul.

@Hatley have clients who are in the same boat. They believe that if you are saving it for a rainy day instead of spending it on your daily expenses, you don't need as much. That is such a crock of hooey.
I tell my clients to buy something they wouldn't normally buy with the money. Live it up a little while you can live it up.

Who knows you might win the lottery tomorrow lol!
I think it's all about contentment. People who have money worry about many things. They fear for their safety, they worry about how not to lose their money, and they're in a lot of stress to have more money.
The only real person who can be happy and not worry are the people who are contented with what they have.

No lottery here in the UK on Sunday.
You are thinking about being rich, if you had money not having to worry about things, to be comfortable and not being rich.
When you don't have money you see it differently and it would be nice to have money instead of not having any.

@kevin1877uk yeah I understand. But nobody's lucky anyway. Whether rich or poor they're both suffering in their own way.

We are not wealthy, we are just comfortable but while we may not worry about food on the table, we have other worries so as they say, money can't buy happiness. I don't think striking it rich is ever an answer it seems from most lottery winners to be an additional burden. We all make choices that affect our financial stability at times in our life. Your country at least seems to have a better social net to help the poor than we do in the US.

Not totally sure about that, UK pets so many people down, in so many ways, often too little too late.
Wouldn't being comfortable be happiness, it would better than worrying about bills and food.
I don't really want to be rich, to have enough money to not worry about bill, food and be able to travel.

@kevin1877uk Being comfortable is part of happiness but the older I get the more I realize that health is also a big part of the equation. There really is no such thing as a life without worry while I may not worry about money I worry about my husband's Parkinson's. and yes, if we had no money it would be worse.

I have read that in order to get what you want you have to attract it yourself. If a person says that he does not have always enough money, then it is what he is going to attract. That is why, we should always be careful with our thought. Instead of dealing with the negative, try to say "I have always more than enough money in my pocket" or "Money comes easily to me." But when you do it, you must believe in it.What the mouth declared but the mind objected, will always produce conflict.

We know money isn't everything, but it's something we can't live without. If you have no money then see how it feels.

This is interesting.I know what it`s like to have money $10 in the wallet any time lol.Now seriously
I know what it`s like to have enough money, of not having to plan or care for what you buy or where to go for vacation because money is not an issue.
But tell you what? it does not buy happiness. My X husband had the money and l was free to use as I pleased, splashed out in ca 10 vacations a year, thousands on designer rubbish I did not need, lived in a 15 room 3 floors house just the 2 of us,had a chauffeur and full time maid and all the luxury that comes with the money. But you know what? l was miserable.
Today, l have to plan on money l spend, have to accept it`s vacation time but l have to stay here because l can't afford a holiday, have to think well if i really need a new winter coat or not.But im happy and free to be me.
No I`d not go back if he asked me today, even when money is tough,l know l love my life today.

Thank you, it would be interesting to know what ist like to be rich, myself I've never had more than a handful of dollars/pounds in my wallet (currently have £5 ($7.50) in my wallet) and to be honest I've had enough of no having any money, worrying about bills I have to pay, no being able to buy new clothes (can't remember the last time I did have anything new). Maybe money or should I say being rich don't bring you happiness but it brings you comfort.

@miniam Yes, I know what you mean, I've stayed at times because I can't afford to go places. I guess I was lucky for a time that I could do what I did, but now totally different story and it's hard, it seems much harder now. Yes, maybe some day.

@kevin1877uk
that`s so true Kevin, although it may not bring happiness, it brings comfort, l know there are times l`ve wanted to go somewhere and ended staying home because l could not afford to go.
There are times l`ve had to ask myself if l can afford something so basic that cost less than $10 and had to accept l cant and it`s no fun at all.But that`s life.Maybe some day.
