My friend who robbed me few months ago is now in jail

Maybe you still remember my post about my friend who begged me to have a one night sleep at home, and because, our bedrooms were all occupied, so I invited her to sleep with me, only to know the next day my ATM with inscribed password in the cover was stolen by her. My friend was at large for almost 7 months. This afternoon here, my police friend, texted me telling me about the theft. They apprehended her in our domestic airport after hiding in Malaysia with other druggists, her constituents.I told the police I will drop by in the city jail. She will be transferred to to Davao Penal Colony next week after seeing a city fiscal.
My ATM card contained almost 200,000 pesos. I had terrible nights and days after that traumatic experience. I will never trust anyone even a family member.
Can you suggest me, if it's okay to talk to my robber friend, or not? Thanks for your suggestion.

@arthurchappell, She is indeed dangerous and she seems forgetting everything. I will see her tomorrow and proceed to city fiscal to file a case. There are many to sue her , her victims of robbery and frustrated murder. I am scared to know that she has a case frustrated murder. I am so lucky not harm during that evening when she was at home.

I remember reading the post.Hope they throw him in jail for a long time,Friends don't steal from friends.Personally l have a temper so l will want to talk to him and tell him my mind and what l hope they do to him.
Maybe l will not want them to do the things l say to him, but i will say them to cause him pain the same he causes people he robs.

Why would you want to talk to your robber friend? I would have nothing else to do with the person.

@cacay1 Yes I agree with you. People who we treat as our friends then do something bad to us need to explain to us why they did that but if it is a crime that they don't accept, it is better to give them the kick and report them to the authorities.

I am not sure if after something like that I could talk to them again. They sound very dangerous and not someone you should be around. I think they are right where they should stay. I hope all worked out okay with your ATM card.

@cacay1 Identifying the suspect and actually talking with them are 2 different things. I would opt to identify them so there is a witness and everything so there is no chance of this person getting out to do it again but I would nto take the time to have a conversation with them like nothing happened. I hope that a whole lot was not stolen from you...That is a lot of money and a huge hassle...

@cacay1 Oh wow...Kind of like taking the easy way out I guess. It is what it is and I am sorry to hear that that happened but i am not sorry that she was tortured with her own guilt as that is what she deserved after doing what she did to others.

@crazzydolphin, I am advised here not to talk to the criminal who robbed me. I supposed not to go but the police wanted me to identify the suspect. My ATM was being deactivated by the Development bank of the Philippines. Thanks dear for your great share on what to do with my problem.

My thoughts too. What is there to talk about anymore? Just leave her be and let the Arm of the Law take care of her. Seeing her will only open up old wounds. There is nothing you can do for her now. She made the choice, ran away and betrayed you. Leave her be.

@Jackalyn and @ghostie2472, My siblings warned me too not to talk to the suspect. I supposed not to go, but the police who caught her wanted me to identify the suspect if she is really the one who robbed me.I am also told to sign a paper for the case before the criminal will be brought to Davao Penal Colony, a high facility cell. Thanks friends.

If I were you, I won't see and talk to her. What's the use? She's a traitor, so she has to pay all her sins and besides, I don't want to see or talk to her, I'm afraid of what can I do or say to her, it might can destroy my trust and respect to everyone and I want to forget her so no need to see her.

@cacay1
So, you have to face her. But if she has no properties for sale and no money that can replenish the money she got from you, what will you do then?
Next time, if your atm was stolen from somebody, you have to give an advise to the bank to close your account so that the criminal can't get the money.
How does she know your PIN?

@Shavkat, yes, those are very good descriptions of that person I no longer consider a friend. If I only have power to know her intention that night when she was at home, I will not surely allow her to sleep at home.I was not able to sense her face as having a strange action for I was so excited to see her again. She was my best friend during college after college for some years.

Its always okay to talk to someone.
First of all, feeling very sorry to hear what happened with you by your friend. Betrayals cannot be easily forgotten. But as it is said that we should hate the sin not the sinner so, I would suggest you to talk to your friend and show her the right way of living by brainwashing her and would also suggest you to be very careful (in case you meet her).

@cacay1 Yes, undoubtedly after what she did to you she could have never been able to face you!
Sad to see the most precious gift of God - LIFE , wasted for a petty reason. It pains me to see people who do not respect this gift which many long for!
