Have You Quarrelled With A Neighbor?

As I went to my garden this morning, I heard my two neighbors having loud, heated argument while the other neighbors were watching them.
As I listened carefully, I learned the point of contention was the leaking downspout of Neighbor A that has been bringing in some water to the garage of Neighbor B. Neighbor A was like asking for some time to fix it but Neighbor B was tired of waiting so they ended up yelling at each other.
I felt sad seeing their heated contention. I know they used to be good friends. How I wish they just talked and settled the matter more peacefully.

@Shavkat I would go crazy with a neighbor like that! I especially hate it when my neighbor sings songs that I don't like.

It seems that I haven't quarreled with my neighbors yet. In fact we are not that familiar with each other. Usually we will nod the head and say hello if we meet each other in the lift and that's all. So if it is not necessary, we will not have a quarrel.

@cheerfulnuts Well I used to be not familiar with my neighbors when I was still working in the city because I'd leave the house early and return home at night.

I'm also not familiar with my neighbors. I haven't even seen some of them, and I've lived there for more than a decade.

You did the right thing. Talking when angry would aggravate the situation so it is better to just keep distance.

Yes, i quarreled with one of those lady owners of a house in our neighborhood (We are 5 house in our secluded place in a subdivision ) .
That's because after shouldering the fixing expenses of the street lamps (posts , lamps and wirings) after typhoon Glenda damaged them , she doesn't want to pay her share (divided into 5 ) of the day 1 when the electrician did the fixings of those .
So i told her , Okay so be it and left her . We don't speak with each other since then .

Not yet. But my mother once had an argument with a neighbor, I mean, a sister in law of a neighbor, who only had a vacation at our neighbor's. And it was because of our dogs. She (the sister in law) said our dogs caused dust to enter their house when our dogs clashed with their dogs. LOL
That argument made my mother decide to put up a high cemented fence, to avoid that same kind of argument again.

@brokenbee So no seeing eye to eye unless your neighbor stretched her neck further or go up the roof to see how your dogs are doing.

@salonga Yes, she told my father about it and my father agreed instantly.
She told the sister in law, "don't worry, we will put up a fence so that we will no longer see each other!" LOL

I had one freak of a neighbor. She would not cooperate when we asked her to keep the volume down, would drive at crazy speeds and would have loud heated and drunk arguments at odd hours. When we brought this to the notice of our secretary, I think he had a chat with her because ever since that day, I noticed that she was throwing all kinds of sanitary waste (and that includes used sanitary napkins!) into our garden(she lived above our house)! This continued for fifteen days. But to our greatest happiness, she moved out in the next one month! Never heard of her again!

Yes actually. My brother decided to be a young immature idiot and threw a bag of our dog poo into a neighbours garden. (Note that I wasn't home at the time) my brother didn't know they would be in the garden at the time at which point they shouted and told him to come and pick it up. He told them that I did it but I had ran off..... They threw the poo bag back into my garden and I was shouted at by my mum when I got in as the neighbour rang my mum and told her I did it ...

Neighbor A should fix it at once to avoid such argument. No, I always try to be friendly with our neighbors.
