What are your talents?

What are your talents and how did you discover them? Are you naturally good, or did you develop your skills over time? I don't know what my talents are. I found my passion in writing a few years ago. I used to suck at writing, but I'm slowly getting better. I can't really say that I'm a talented writer. There's still so much to learn. I can also draw a bit better than most people, but I don't draw a lot. I never really developed that skill. I think my real passion is learning foreign languages, although I don't think that can be called a talent. It's hard to learn beyond the basics if you don't live in a place where people speak the language.

I am good at understanding situation and people. I also learn things and get overall view of things very quickly. But real talent is my way of finding humor in everything. A bit sarcastic humor sometimes

I envy people who can sleep anywhere -train, bus, anytime. I think that's pure unadulterated talent which I don't possess.

@sol_cee My dad is like you. He can't sleep anywhere even if he's sleepy. He can't even sleep on a plane. He has to be on a bed.

I think I am good at painting. Unfortunately today I don't have enough time to enjoy it. Since when I take out the colors and then mixture it, the time will be late already. Perhaps I have to develop my this talent when I am retired

It would be nice to paint after you have retired. I don't paint, but it looks like it can take a lot of your time to paint a picture. It can get messy too. It's best if you have a room for painting.

Maybe you do have a nice voice, you just don't know it. I think typing is an important skill. Sometimes, I play typing games to hone my skill.

@cheerfulnuts There was a time when I was shy too.To get rid of my shyness I forced myself to mix up with people. You may try it.Just for a change shrug off your shyness for a day and try to mix up with others.

I've been trying to teach myself sign language but it's so hard when there is no one to practice with...

Learning sign language sounds cool. Yeah, it would be difficult not to have someone to practice with. What made you want to learn that?

@cheerfulnuts I've always found it interesting that people can communicate without speaking. I work at a grocery store and there are several deaf people who shop there. I can have basic conversations with them through signing and I love how happy they are that they can communicate with me. I would love to learn more to help them feel included.

Learning a foreign language is always good. Writing takes discipline as well as on-going education. I started writing when I was 8 years old. I didn't start to really develop it until my late twenties. I read whatever I could and had subscriptions to two writer magazines which were invaluable to me. With the industry always changing, I will always be learning something new in the world of writing. My other talent is seamstress. I love to sew, though I don't do it very often.

I'm good at copying if it's considered to be a talent. I learned some sort of dance when I was small quite easily. I also do some martial arts and I can do the basic movements quite well. And on school assignments, It's like I'm a jack of all trades in physical things. But I'm not good enough to be a talented ones in all of them, just better than average.
