How would you define success?
Do you have the same idea of success as your parents?
To what extent will your encourage your children to become successful?
Do you think failures can contribute to a person's success?
Can you think of any famous people who encountered failure before success?

Success for me is the good result of what you have done.
I encourage my children by telling them about the opportunities that lie ahead of them. I always tell them that there are lots of opportunities waiting for them.
Failures are factors that can lead a person to become successful. that is if he accept failures as challenges. Challenges keep a man going. Doing everything to surpass them.
Like in cooking. We fail in the first or second time we do the recipe, but maybe on the third or fourth time, we can have it perfectly.

There are multiple definitions but for me success is achieving our goals and those goals are what we have defined and created by ourselves, not our friends, family or parents. Only you and you alone should decide your own fate.
If I had children, I would probably teach them early on to make goals for themselves(goals they actually are motivated to do) and work on them with full passion. I won't make one for them when , but I can suggest whats best for them.
That's my take on it anyway
Are yours similar? or are we the polar opposites on this subject?
