I am back to normalcy.
After four days, our friend has come back home yesterday evening.
We have spend four wonderful days playing the tourists in our own region.
Friday we had lunch in a typical Swiss restaurants near the shore of the Lage of Lugano.
The other days I have spent a lot of hours cooking what I know he loves more, but that has been a pleasure.
This short happy time, reminded me a quote that I am going to share with you:
"Immortality is to live your life doing good things, and leaving your mark behind." by Brandon Lee
The photo is mine, some views of the old village of Morcote on the Lake of Lugano

And you must be tired . Yet you are here to myLot . But anyway , myLotting is already relaxing , just as it is to me after auditing a lot of documents .
Wow, those are nice views . And i can perceive that the weather is somewhat sunny , yet cold . Very nice weather for walking and touring around indeed.

I mainly prepared Italian dishes, that is what he likes. Spaghetti Carbonara, spaghetti al pesto, saltimbocca (is a dish made of veal topped with prosciutto and sage and cooked in butter), chicken breaded cutlets and avocado and shrimps... a lot of work.

The photos are so lovely. I also like the quote ... I fear I have done nothing to leave my mark behind yet, though! Glad you had a good time. :)

@fishtiger58 We also had a wet spring. It is raining from Sunday morning, right now I hear the thunder again and it pours.

I love your photo collage.... and the scenery... I's o glad you had a nice time and the weather was good... I went to lake Lugano when I was twelve ... we were touring Switzerland in a caravan ... we also went to Bern, Basel, and many other places that I would recognise the names if I saw them.... It was a lovely time... and country too....

Wow, the pictures are so great! Sometimes touring our known place again might bring out new surprises. The four days must have been quite refreshing.

@ria1606roy I knew this saying, we studied Rabindranath Tagore when I was in school. Thanks for mentioning, I surely never read the original version.

@LadyDuck We have a saying depicting that in Bengali, written by the great poet Rabindranath Tagore.
"dekhite giyachhi porbotmala
dekhite giyachhi sindhu
dekha hoy nai chokshu meliya
ghor hote shudhu dui pa pheliya
ekti ghasher shisher upor ekti shishir bindu…"
Meaning "We used to travel to mountains and oceans to witness their beauty, but we haven't seen the beauty of the dew drops on the grass just a few steps outside our home..."

What beautiful photos! My mother visited your country many years ago when she also visited northern Italy. She loved it there and I remember she had wanted to spend more time there. I'm not sure if she brought back photos or not. But it was a trip that meant a lot to her!

@crystalvisions I have visited your profile and I have read about your visit to your family. It will be hard to go back to the Scottish weather.

@LadyDuck I am indeed! I have family in Kolkata, Chennai and Mumbai as well as other places. I had to visit for business purposes and managed to extend my stay. Of course I am always welcomed but as a general rule I rarely visit India just before the monsoon season in June/July. The huge irony is that I am Scottish and live in Scotland. Therefore I come from a place that is cold and wet; so whenever school holidays in the UK start, it's at the start of June & July; previous visits to India when I was a child were not that nice given the monsoon season!

@hereandthere It was very hot and the lake creates humidity when it's too hot.
