I like you , I love you

I really dont uderstand whats the difference between I like you and I love you .
I already experience liking someone and loving someone ,
Many people like me but only few who truly loves me .
Just like the sayings says
"When you like a flower, you just pluck it. But When you love a flower , you water it daily. "
Now I understand the difference between liking or loving someone .

@toniganzon ahahahaha
its just like liking someone is like "kissing" someone
but if you love him/her you will "marry" him/her

You know I would be much happier if a girl come and say I like you or I love you... Honestly doesn't matter... Both cases I will be asking will you marry me

I like cold. I love rains. I like books. I love stories. I like songs. I love music.
Was that clear enough? If yes, explain to me too....

I love little babies..their attitudes..their demanding nature..ordering me about..and attempt to teach me how to mix dough...using one glass full of water in about two tablespoons full of wheat flour..and then trying to load it all in a vessel...and call it milk..

Liking and loving someone is somehow confusing to some extent. I like the person I love to the point that I want to marry him but I might not love that much the person that I like. But one thing is obviously clear -- love is a more superior feeling than like.

I am sorry, but your analogy does not hold true.... I like all my plants, so I don't pick them. I water them, nurture them and hope they will continue to grow strong and healthy... After all, bamboo does not have flowers, so there is nothing to pick. I do allow my daughter to harvest a few canes from last year's growth, but am very careful about which ones I allow her to harvest.
I also grow pampas grass... again, nothing to pick. I water them, feed them and enjoy their beauty.
I grow sugar cane.... again, nothing to pick. I water them, nourish them and enjoy their beauty.
I can keep going for a long time in this vein, if you want... LOL!
I like many of the people on myLot.... But I also love some of the people here on myLot, as well. It doesn't matter to me if I have met them in person or not. Many people here are my friends (possibly that is only in my own mind, but as long as they continue to act like friends, then I have no problem with that.)
Some people here don't allow you to learn much about them, so it is like someone who is aloof greeting you and keeping you at arms length, no matter how well they get to know you, you cannot reciprocate. They might call you a friend, but to me, those are acquaintances, not friends. Until/Unless they let me get to know them, as well as they know me. there is not much between us. (I MIGHT like them, but more often than not, I am indifferent to them.)

The difference between like and love is that you can like anyone for different things you see in them(like their attitude, the way they look)...Liking can be towards a person you don't know personally (like a celebrity)...
Love on the other hand is more intense it marks relationships (like love for your parents, your wife, your girlfriend)...

The words have different intensities. You can say that you like something/someone you love, but not all the time you can say that you love something/someone you like.
