Both of them helps. If you don't work hard you wouldn't be able to discern what should be done and what shouldn't. Helps by practice. After working hard at first can you prioritize and work smart in the future. Every kind of work has its value, albeit different for different persons. So ultimately it will depend on the worker and how he should do it. Working smart is all about acting according to need and priorities in the least hard way possible. So how would you know that if you don't know what hard work is?

The more you work, the smarter you become. So I think hard work is important. But every now and then we need to ask yourself can I do this better? That way we go the next level..

“I choose a lazy person to do a hard job. Because a lazy person will find an easy way to do it.”- Bill Gates
Like what bill gates mentioned.. being smartwork is better than work hard.. because you're making this solve faster and easily than what other's doing.-
In every problem there's 2 ways to solve it, the fastest solution and the longest solution..
