Heather and Mack are very close family friends who have been an inspiration to everyone they know. Two years ago Mack who is in his 40's was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. From the beginning both he and Heather remained positive. Mack' words to me were "I don't think why me. I think why not me?
He has three children who are 10, 15 and 17 and his soul mate Heather whose love and devotion are beyond what some people find in a lifetime. I feel blessed to have had Mack as my friend. My heart is breaking for his children and Heather. Their lives are changed forever. Cancer is such an unforgiving monster. I have heard there are cures but its a $160 billion industry for the medical community. The almight dollar has become more important than the loss of a little girls father. God speed Mack.May your soul find it's way home.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I think we have all lost loved ones to that horrible disease, my father had brain cancer. And my father and I have always felt there was a cure already out there but yup the almighty buck rules. Shameful shameful.

It is sickening to know that this could be prevented. That a little girl isn't crying tonight because she lost her father and that the world hasn't become so greedy they would allow that to happen.

@kbourgerie It's the world we live in, the rich get rich in any way possible no matter what lives they have to step on to get there.

@sunrisefan Sadly I don't think they will return to their lives as they have known them No child should have to feel such heartache. Thank you for your kind words.
