Funny But Sad Story

My father which is 76 is in the stage of his life that is not as careful as he use to be. I found out from my Nephew that my dad did the following yesterday.
My Nephew was over my dads house pulling weeds and my dad was trying to help. The bugs came out and he told my Nephew that he was going to go into the garage and spray some bug spray "Off". He did and came back and my Nephew started getting attacked by the bugs. My dad took him to the garage and told him to spray this "Off" on his face, arms, legs, etc. My Nephew looked at the bottle and it was "Easy Off" stove cleaner.
It is funny, but sad that my dad did not figure this out.

Oh my god!! this happens....but please make sure this doesn't repeat. How old is your nephew, may be really young, not able to read the label or find out through the smell.

My nephew which figured out my dad was using the "easy off" oven spray is 18 years old.

LOL, I asked him over the weekend if it worked. He said it did not burn him, but it did not do anything against the bugs.

They should have in the directions, "Not only cleans the stove but kills bugs too." @mypointsju .

My dad does not tell us that much about the problems (medical, other issues) that he is having, besides his cancer. We as a group (brother and inlaws and nephews, and wife, etc.) usually will keep the others informed, if it is a big issue.

@mypointsju My grandpa was the same way. He would never admit when he was in pain or struggling with something. He did't like to worry everyone.

@mypointsju My dad was this was as well. I really hope it didn't harm him. That wouldn't be funny. If it didn't, then it is a bit funny after the fact. Sometimes we do things that aren't funny until later.

that happens to my dad because he cant see that much even with his glasses. thats why we dont touch his things -- toothpaste, shaving cream, medicine, etc. because he might use his cream as his toothpaste or drink a different tablet.. we sometimes laugh at him because he jokes about it but we dont want him to be in trouble too.
