Facebook or MyLot, or both?

So, which do you use more, Facebook or MyLot or both? Okay, after six years of being on hiatus here at myLot, I must admit I was addicted to using Facebook. I played games there and started reconnecting with long lost friends and relatives. It was fun, it still is. It is a good source of a variety of information, and literally anything under the sun. It's also cheaper communicating with friends and relatives abroad. But it gets boring sometimes to see people with their selfies and irrelevant posts. This led me to think about MyLot. So here I am. Finding my way again. I forgot how entertaining this site is. Also it is a good learning source about what other people think and I can react/respond/comment on their discussions. Come to think of it, myLot was the first to use the "LIKE" button, in discussions and comments, way much earlier than Facebook. Or is this a new feature? I've been away so long I never noticed the Like button, haha. So which will I use more? Judging from sitting here since this morning and responding to comments, starting discussions, I think, myLot is it for me. But I will still open Facebook from time to time to check on news from friends and relatives. And of course play games. Both are good to keep me entertained.

I use both quite a bit. Although lately, I think I'm on my lot a little more than Facebook, but I do still use both quite a bit.

Same as me. I only got back here in My Lot since yesterday and now spend more time here. MyLot is growing on me again. Its fun here. ^___^

Well i dont use faceboom much.. I go there to see whats happening witj friends and whats goin on around. But when it comes to interaction and commenting and discussion..i think i am more active here...

Ah yes, here in MyLot, we use our brains more. So there's more mental exercise here than in Facebook. ^___^

As this point of time, I don't dwell much in Facebbook anymore. I don't even surf it. I am practically squandering here in myLot.

I can understand that. MyLot tends to be addicting and very entertaining. But I still logged in at Facebook to check on my family and relatives abroad.

For me it varies depending on my mood. Sometimes I spend a fair amount of time here, but others not so much. My Facebook friends aren't really the selfie type, so when I spend a bit of time there I find some of them have shared some really interesting articles and then it takes me ages to read everything that interests me.

I agree. I too am online on majority of my days, especially at work. I need to switch off and live my real life tor etain my sanity. LOL

I agree with you, that happens to me too since I became active here two days ago LOL. Facebook has its pros and as you said, it can also be a source of varied information. I too tend to get carried away reading articles and posts on many issues that tick my interests. I have many facebook friends who posts selfies and so many irrelevant photos. Those are the times, when I just close imy browser and do other things, like read. ^_____^

@sunbeams I need to close my browser (and switch off my computer) more often too. I tend to neglect a lot of things I do offline because I'm online so much of the time.

I am using both facebook and mylot. As you mentioned i agree with the statement that it is very irritating to see selfies.

Same here. And need I add, selfies should best be described as selfish. it also applies to vain and insecure people.

Ah the age old question. To myLot or not to myLot. And do Facebook to save face with those I really know and am not just "friends" with. I enjoy the deeper and broader discussions I typically respond to here on myLot. We all have our share of knowledge which is nice to share and read about. I only wish the games I play on Facebook were here on myLot. Indeed Facebook has and is making it easier and cheaper to keep in touch with those we truly know. Again. I wish myLot had those capabilities. I guess to sum it up. Either or both are enjoyable and annoying, so a little of each daily is where I'm at. ‹(°¿°)›

Yes, you nailed it, a little of both keeps boredom at bay. Ah that would be asking too much if there are games in myLot, It would also be too much if we get paid while playing haha.

I do both. Facebook mainly to keep in touch with family and friends, since I live 9,000 miles away from them. Facebook is the easiest and cheapest way to communicate with them. I like mylot because it allows me to share my thoughts and opinions on certain matters, while earning on the side.

My thoughts exactly. Facebook is really the cheapest way to communicate with family/friends from various parts of the globe. I have not had a chance to earn here at myLot yet.

I only use FB occasionally to see what the family are up to. I much prefer it here. It's fun and educational to find out how other people live.

Totally agree with you now that I'm back at myLot. Its, very entertaining and yes, I learn much from other people's experiences too. Although I still check in at Facebook today.

I can relate to that too. I can never recall why I stopped using MyLot, maybe because Facebook was a new thing then and so many things to do there. But I think and in my opinion, despite the many things to do in Facebook, it is not as entertaining and mentally stimulating than MyLot.

I am at both places, fb and myLot, althrough I do not play games in fb but enjoy there as well. FB is a good place as social media while at mylot we can earn as well doing the same thing as we do in fb.
