Anyone felt this back pain before? Or any advice for back pain please?

Hello MyLotters. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this certain back pain. It's been happening for 3 days now. First it started when I laid down one night. Felt like the middle of my back was tightening up. Which made it extremely difficult to sleep. I eventually fell asleep once I put a heat pack under my back. Yesterday it was hurting while walking around. Hurt to bend down to pick things up or when I put on my shoes. This morning it was hurting when I woke up. It hurt while walking around, bending down and sitting. So basically all the time. I went to get a back massage. It felt good after. Wasn't in pain or having any tight feeling but that only lasted about an hour. Because I am now on my lounge room floor in pain. I've had the heat pack behind me, I've done some stretching and little exercises for the back. Nothing is helping relieve the pain and it's driving me nuts! It's in the middle of the back but hurts more on the right side. I don't recall doing anything to hurt it. I'm planning on going to the doctors and see if I can get an x-ray. But for now, is there anyone who has had the same back pain or any advice to help relieve the pain? Thank you in advance.

The best advice that I can give is for you to go to a doctor. But for now maybe you can take tablets for pain or pain relievers.

I have back pains and for me I know its a symptoms of my urinary track infection when I forgot to drink more fluids in a day or my uric acid is high in eating too much nuts . You have to consult your doctor so may know what is the caused of your back pain.

The only thing I can think of to do is lay down with some heat on your back. Do let us know what the doctor says.

@VivaLaDani13 Do let us know what has caused this to you, not much fun watching TV upside down is it?

@Marcyaz Thank you for your advice. I have been doing that a lot as well as just laying flat on the floor in the lounge room. Watching TV upside down haha! I haven't been yet but will be going whether my back hurts or not for an x-ray. :)

Are you stressed out about anything? I have not had this type of pain but you saying it feels "tight" makes me think of stress. Sometimes you can do very little and still hurt your back. Something as simple as reaching for a glass of water on a table can cause back problems, so you could have hurt it and didn't even realize it. At one of my jobs I had to watch a film on back pain. It was basically showing us that it sometimes takes very little to hurt your back and to drive home the fact that someone complaining of back pain wasn't faking it and it wasn't "all in the person's head." A visit to your doctor is probably is a good idea.

@VivaLaDani13 Glad to hear you are going to visit your doctor. I was hoping to hear you weren't all that stressed out because stress can bring on a lot of health problems. Let us know what the doctor says if it's not too personal. Even if it's not stress, you need to figure out how to lessen the stress in your life.

@RichardMeister I would say yes I am stressed. I do have heaps on my mind but I didn't know it could cause a back pain that bad. The way you explained it makes me think now that that's what the issue could be. I will still go to the doctor anyway but you are right that it could be because of stress. Also like you said, even doing a simple task like reaching for a glass can do it. I don't recall lifting anything heavy so it probably would from doing something so small like that. Thank you very much for answering!

I have the same back pain. It hurts specially when I'm bending, the moment I lie down, carry something heavy, etc. I had done a X-Ray too and the doctor said that it's because the muscles in that region have become loose. He showed me some exercise(while lying down) which helps. He said the only solution was to strengthen the muscles again. But anyway you must consult a doctor. They know things better afaterall.

CONSULT a doctor. It can be start of Arthritis or some kidney issue. i had it when my Arthritis started (and as always, I thought it was just some back pain) and dad had it towards his left (later reports revealed he had stones in kidney). Maybe other reasons too, so please please do not take that stuff lightly.

@VivaLaDani13 Its all good Viva that the pain has subsided. Normally, we dont take things as seriously at the first go, and that is what can complicate matters specially related to health. That is why I mentioned me and my dad's personal experiences. Let us know how the appointment with the doctor went. Take care dear friend

I think you are having muscle spasm at your lower back. You can try to search for Proper Body Mechanics. It can prevent from having low back pain. If it still persists, I suggest you can consult a Physiatrist.

It's possible that you have a pinched nerve due to a slightly shifted vertebrae @VivaLaDani13 . Better to have an xray to be sure. You could buy a Tends Unit. This is where you attach sticky pads to your back and use a hand piece (like a TV remote) that will send pulses to massage the area. I have severe spinal injuries and the Tends Unit helps greatly.

@VivaLaDani13 It would be like going to a masseuse except you could use it any time while at home. I hope they have it there for you. You could try calling a few pharmacies there and see if they carry it. And you don't need a prescription to get one.

@nanette64 That Tends thing sounds so good right now lol Not sure if we have anything like that here. I wouldn't see why not. Sounds like an awesome device. Thank you for letting me know about that and thank you for the advice. I will go see a doctor. I want an x-ray of my back anyway. :)

I never had that kind of back pain. Sometimes I have back pain but it's tolerable and it's on the lower part back of my neck. I just put menthol on the painful area and it's gone. Be sure to consult a doctor. It might be your spinal chord or anything else.

It seems like you had lifted something heavy or are under huge amount of stress. The tightness is due to stress most of the time.

@Daljinder I don't recall lifting anything really but then again, it's not like I keep a record so who knows haha but stress wouldn't surprise me. I'm easily stressed out anyways.
