After my daily routine and went home, our nanny came to our house, bringing some native mangoes and greeted me, a happy birthday. In my mind, wow, she never forgets my special day, the fact that she is not living with us anymore, she does remember it.
I asked her to help me prepare some foods for our lunch and some for our neighbors. I just distribute it to minimize labor force and other expenses. That's how I prepare and celebrate my natal day, preparing foods for us and some for our neighbors whom I think can't eat regular meals a day. At least, I made them happy that they have a good food.
Does anyone of your members of the house before and not living with you now and still remembers the special day of your life?

My nanny doesn't seem to remember my birthday. The only time she visited me was to borrow money from me so her daughter could buy a uniform for her work. She never showed up again. I had a very close relationship with her when I was young so much so that i cried a river when she left.
I don't usually celebrate my birthday at all.

@toniganzon Don't bother to collect it, just give it to her.

I see but when she borrowed money from you, did she return back the money? My nanny does it also but don't bother to pay back the borrowed one but I can't dare to collect the borrowed money from her, I pitied her situation now when she lives to a married man, her life became so miserable.

She came here because she wants to give me those native mangoes and I know she also remembers my birthday. It's already my way of celebrating my birthday not to invite other people to eat in our house, I have to distribute foods to my neighbors.

Thanks Joy for the greetings. I'm happy that she remembers my birthday even if I haven't invited her nor told her to come just to help me preparing those foods for our neighbors. It's my way of giving thanks to the Lord for all the blessings He's giving to us and sharing those to the needy.

Happy, happy birthday Ida. Your nanny is truly special.
In this Facebook era, it is easy for my siblings, cousins and some relatives and even friends living abroad to greet me on my birthday. But, in my opinion, the best birthday greeting/gesture is what your nanny did - personally go out of her way to give you gifts (mangoes, I love them) and greet you. That is remarkably special. Lucky you. ^_____^

Happy happy birthday!!!
Yes, some of my friends still remember my birthday, also those acquaintances I had in grade school.
They know my birthday because they used to attend my birthday parties. Now, I only celebrate it at home with my family.

Thank you friend. I celebrate my birthday before with friends but I think, letting my neighbors eat during my birthday is good, they are the one whom I think is best to feed because they can't eat good food and can't eat complete meal a day.

Yes, many of my friends remember it too. Is is your birthday today? Happy birthday to you, my friend! Wishing you all the best in life. I also do that on my birthdays, just distributing food which is cheaper that hosting a party.

Thanks. Distributing foods to our neighbors is good compared to have party with friends, I know they can eat 3x a day compared to some of my neighbors can't, so it's better to let them eat a good kind of food, even only this time and I know, it can make them happy.
