~He Made Me Nervous!~

My husband went to the store this evening. No big deal, right? Well not so much... He was gone for a while-which is usual for him but while he was gone his phone died and I couldn't get a hold of him. It made me nervous because you just never know in this crazy world! Strange things happen sometimes. Thank God he is fine but man, he almost gave me a heart attack! Has anyone made you so nervous when you couldn't get in touch with them?

That makes me nervous too when I can't get a hold of my husband and he's been gone awhile. Glad he's safe, :)

My girlfriend, especially because I know how clumsy she is and how far she usually drives...

I don't like it much either. I feel better when both my husband and I have a phone, just on the off chance something happens and we need to get in touch with each other. Even if everything is fine, it's still just nice to be able to get a hold of each other for whatever reason.

@LovingMyBabies I'm the same. I feel better knowing I can reach him if needed and vice versa.

My dog made me nervous once. I came to my place and Kenia was not there. I waited for two weeks and the dog never returned. This occur in a house that I own in the country. I still have her in my mind. I´m thinking on buying another dog, but Kenia was special and I don´t think I can find another dog like her.

I don't think so. Kenia will remain with me for the rest of my life. I might buy a small dog which I can take wherever I go, but it will be later on the year. For now, I'll just think about my dog, Kenia.

@quantum2020 Oh goodness I am so sorry. =( I had a dog named Fatty Bear who also got out of our friends yard who was dog sitting him. He was my baby and I miss him. No other dog can replace them but another dog might bring something new to your life.

Both of my brothers. One works in another city. So, he has to commute to and from there. Whenever he gets late or there are chances that he might be late, he informs us. But sometimes (it is rare but it happens) when back to back meetings prevent him from calling back home. Those meetings can go all through the night and continue well into the early mornings. Obviously while in meetings he can't pick up the phone. So the bell rings, rings and rings. Our panic rise, rise and rise. My other brother though is plain careless.

@Daljinder You notice how it's mostly the men in our lives that do this to us women? Strange...Lol

You would have been more nervous if you were in the shoes of my wife. One time, I was in the cooperative's office conducting an ownership meeting when a neighbor called up the house and told my wife that I had a stroke. A friend had called our neighbor about the supposed stroke. My wife called my mobile phone and she was so nervous when I did not answer. How could I answer when I was lecturing that cellphones were not allowed to be on in the baking area of the cooperative so I set the example. My wife then called the office landline and found out that I was up and alive.

@LovingMyBabies The neighbor was not lying though. She just got the wrong information and innocently called my wife :) It was a matter of wrong information being passed around :)

I don't carry a phone at all. Besides the fact that I detest the things, I can't afford to have one either. I do make a point of calling my wife from work if for any reason I'm not going to arrive home as scheduled. She doesn't worry about me too much. I do get worried when she takes a lot longer to return from shopping than expected. You never know what can go wrong and I hate the thought of her stuck on the side of the road because the minivan broke down.

I always feel the same panic attack if one of the family members is out of reach. I am a worrier person on regards to my family members or people close to my heart.

My husband half the time does not hear his phone and for a while he was being very late at, or doing errands afterwards. He was always fine as well.

Our (grown) son gets like that if we don't respond to his calls or texts. It seems like the shoe is on the other foot now that he's in his 20's and not in his teens when it was Dad and I worried from not hearing from him. Although, now that I think back, he was a pretty good level headed kid all along.
