In our place we do take care of keeping names for our children and every name will have beautiful meaning.I don't think this practice is everywhere in the world.Do you have any meaning for your name or do you believe in our ritual of keeping meaningful names for each individual? some people believe in it while others don't believe in it.It all depends on each individual. Can me share your views here?

My name Vijay means victory.
In our place generally names are meaningful..mostly God's name or Grandparents name are given to children as a respect.
These days people are coming up with different names, names that sound strange and uncommon. They are spending a lot of time researching in the internet. Some have good meanings, some dont.

yes, in India people keep their names with meaning for sure. But i wonder what will be the case in foreign countries where i don't think names will have any meaning. Actually it is nice to have a meaning to any name isn't it and it is really a good practice
