Prom Night

Almost everyone looks forward to their prom night. The near end of high school as we know it. Music, dancing, good food and good friends with whom to share an evening of great memories of high school.
We also wish to go with that special guy/girl whom we've dreamed of cherishing this night with. That perfect special night where lovers hold hands, share sweet kisses and maybe even share other great things with each other.
This is usually not the reality, or at least it wasn't for me. Hell some people don't even go to their prom. I did go, but I didn't even get to go with my boyfriend at the time because he was too cheap to rent a tuxedo and afford anything that went along with it. I ended up going with one of my very good friends who asked me and had a slight crush on me. I still had a great time with him and my friends, but I do wish I could have had that romantic evening so many couples get to have since I actually had a significant other at that point in time. I did get to share a limo with everyone and get all glammed up in my pretty pink dress. I will always remember that night.
How was your prom night? Did you enjoy it? Did you even go? Was it what you expected or highly under rated? Share your experiences with me if you'd like.

I did not go to my prom. At my high school there were very distinct groups of people, the jocks and cheerleaders who went to prom, and the beach bum/fisherman who did not. We held an anti-prom on the beach. The guys wore board shorts and t-shirts. The girls word bikini tops and jean shorts. We had a great time.

@DanieGirl80587 It is not the budget. The reason, our principal doesn't want to be involved or engaged the student for possible cases of teenage pregnancy. Thus, the principal is so conservative. That's the downside of her being in safe position. She doesn't trust the students to be responsible and killed the most important things in high school life.

Aww wow I'm sorry to hear that. I wonder why? Budget maybe? Either way I'm sorry you didn't get that night you deserved.

I attended my prom night. It was fun. I wore a blue dress that time. My high school crush asked me to dance and we enjoyed it.

My prom last 2012 was not good. Of course It's our first prom. we haven't ready for the prom. and we're excited too. Weird ha?. Last prom 2013. I danced lot of girls we had a long conversation because I spend my time to talk to them because I was graduating. I had a good memories during the last prom which is 2013. It was like I'm drunk but I haven't drunk something. I danced random girls. Oh myyyy. Good Memories.

When I was in high school, everyone was excited to go to prom night because they have the chance to see their crushes and have the chance to dance with them in a slow music (the most romantic part of the night said by most of them). Well, prom night for me is an occasion where you make moments that will be memorable for the rest of your life. I was able to socialize with people I want to meet personally and I am not much of a dancer so I am enjoying watching my friends having good time with their partners. Still, I was given the chance to be danced by one of my seniors and I could say that prom night might be an ordinary occasion but the memories made in between will never be forgotten.
