My Friend Today

I had some bad news about a friend of mine who has been sick with cancer.
She had gone through radiation treatments and chemo therapy but while going through chemo therapy they found she now had a massive lump growing in her stomach.
Her daughter and granddaughters were taking turns being with her and one evening she was screaming she was in so much pain.
An ambulance was called and she was rushed to the hospital.
She was given morphine every two hours and taken to the nursing home.
The family was told she would not last the week.
Over the weekend I had the call I was dreading she had passed away during the night.
The viewing was today and the funeral is tomorrow.
I had debated going to the viewing but the weather took that option away from me. I will write about that in another post.

I'm sorry to hear of your friends passing... but she is free from pain now ... its a difficult time ....

Sorry about your loss.
Many of us have gone through this, cancer takes its toll not only on the patient but family and friends too.
Her pain is over now.
May her soul rest in peace.

I hate news like this even when it is someone I don't know. Another human has suffered and many people will be grieving. I'm sorry for you.
