Most of the student prefer to go abroad rather than doing Masters in india. Does it look safe our money is going to other country universities. They are being developed and we are still under developed. And is it safe there. Most of the student were harassed and son me got killed. Do u think it is safe to go abroad???

It isn't unsafe i guess but i heard that there are some particular countries which are quite racists. Apart from that there is nothing to worry about.

Yes but some countries have to control the racists. Because they are welcoming us for education or job.

I've been abroad for 2 years now. I'm from a third world country so I think it's safer in the first world country but alas I got mugged for the first time in my life while I'm abroad. Anywhere could be unsafe.

Sorry to hear about those people you know who had experienced bad things while abroad. Not to undermine their situation but I suppose, there is always a risk wherever you go. But some countries are not as bad as others, and it does matter which place you go to. There are many places with low crime rates, and are more accepting of multicultural differences. Many people prefer to study abroad perhaps because of the quality of education or just as a stepping stone for bigger opportunities. I also hailed from overseas, and so far, life has been good since I moved. I'm not saying it's been free from challenges but I lived through them. In life, you have to take the risks otherwise, you get stuck at where you are, wondering what kind of life or world is out there. Seize the day, as they say.

It probably depends on where you go I would think. I know in my state we have a lot of abroad studenrs and not all that much crime near the universities.

It depends on what country. I am sure that your country will not allow you travel in countries that are not safe.

If its unsafe people will not be going by the hordes as they do today. Its good exposure and better life they seek.
