So Scared Right Now

Our dog who is still recovering is the one who is terrified of loud noises. She usually gets a Xanax whenever there is thunder or something outside scaring her to death. Well a half hour ago I heard a pop sound and so did she because she immediately started whimpering. Since I am from Philadelphia and all this stuff about shootings is going on, I am kinda scared too. I heard another one so I picked up for the most part upstairs and came down to our basement apartment with my son and our 2 dogs. I am hoping it is just fire works, but I don't see any reason for anyone to be shooting off fire works unless they are just doing it to do it. I turned off all the lights upstairs save for the back porch lights so my fiance could see his way to the door when he gets home later on. It is just my son and I in the house until then so I don't want to take chances.
Have you ever gotten this scared from an outside noise?

yes I have and I hope that it was nothing for you. But yes I heard fireworks just earlier today will probably hear them all summer and I hate that loud noise. I never knew about putting a dog on Xanax Im going to check with my vet for our little dog cause she is the nervous type as well.

@IvySaysHi I hope she will be ok. that might be something we need to try with our she gets really upset whenever we are all gone and with really loud noises too.

I am always worried about something scary happening. I have three locks on my front door, just in case. I'd rather be safe than sorry.
