Oki doki - the Notification list has been done!
Phew!
In the between times, I got some chores done as well, this making my moday smooth away with no real effort.
I am just about to step out for a few minutes to get some necessary groceries for the next few days, and then I shall be home to write some postcards to send tomorrow. I believe all those that I sent last month have reached their destinations, so its time to send new ones.
I feel like I am on a little bit of a High this morning, all pumped up to get things done, kind of high on Life! June is heading to its end - I am not a very June person, so quite pleased its coming to an end.
So what are your plans for this crazy, wild Monday?
my photo is of the mural on the Charley's Bakery Wall - brilliant sugar-full place! Wish i was there, but glad I am here!

I am at a loss as to what to do right now. My usual routine would be to wander into Manchester centre for an hour or so, which would be useful today because I need to buy more stamps. My last ones were used on Saturday when I visited Gossip, so they need replacing.
The problem is that it is raining again, so I am hoping that it calms down a little.

I hope it calms down soon for you too - it seems to be raining a lot in Summer. I am back from my quick shop, I can actually walk down to the stores but they are doing road works and the pavements are a mess, dont want to twick my ankle for fear of an injury and then no more bowling - that wont do at all. I am slowly getting used to the empty nest feeling, and hopefully I will enjoy my Me time - would you like a postcard Barry? I am writing them out today.

I love that mural. It's raining steadily here - we were so lucky yesterday to have a sunny day for Father's Day and our wedding anniversary. Everybody was able to be eating and drinking out in the garden.
Why don't you like June? I love it.
Today looks like being a sedentary day.

Happy Anniversary to the both of you! I dont know why, as a child June was exams and cold and we were stuck inside, but June was never exciting - I need to change that, I have had a few exciting week-ends so far and I have another last one coming up to play some decent bowls again - so maybe I can change that frame of mind.

Oh June. Not a favorite of mine either. Growing up in the U.S. and now living in the Philippines, the "hot months" have always been my nemesis. I made the best of it as a youth by spending as much time as possible in the water of a pool or at the shore surfing. That was sufficient for the U.S. where, depending upon the part of the country, you might get 3-5 hot months a year.
As for the Philippines, there's no cool months. All hot and hotter. It's like living day after day in an oven or sauna. Locals manage fairly well considering they're born and raised here. However, it becomes unbearable for them as well, from time to time. But there are ways to beat the heat. Though electricity is grossly overpriced for a country who can barely afford it, sitting in front of a fan can often be enough relief. If not that, than heading to a mall "park" is a good alternative. We only run our aircon at night so sleeping is a dreamy experience. There are a few place you can escape to throughout the Philippines where the temp can go low enough for a sweater and even a few places you'd need a coat, closed shoes and long pants. One such place is the mountain city of Baguio. Temps there, on rare occassion, have been known to get close to freezing point. Other cities like Tagaytay have year round temps where most people will never shed a drop of sweat but still feel warm and fuzzy lol.
Anyway, back to Monday. Though most see Monday as a dreaded day, I've always viewed it as a day to get on top of things that need to be accomplished through the week so as to make a difference in whomever's lives and businesses I touch.
