Shopping Is The Best Way to Unwind. What do you think?

Some women are so addicted to shopping. For them, shopping is the best way to unwind. Would you agree? I have some few girl friends who really loved buying things in the mall. Credit cards are being used when they purchase things. A girl friend of mine is in debt for such past time activity. She maxed all the money for shopping. At present, she pays her due in monthly basis. And she is also whining about the arguments with her husband about overspending of money. As she claimed that shopping is a way for her to feel relax. Is it really a lifestyle syndrome to do shopping?

Shopping is also like a disease hard to stop hehehe.usually girls have this as outlet to unwind. This is not my style to unwind, but to go to the sea and enjoy watching the waves of the vast ocean , It seems they want to rock my world.

That is the trouble with some people who could not control their desire for shopping using credit cards. Later they would realize they had spent so much for those material things, then they worry about paying it.

@acelawrites I agree. I also cannot understand some people who used to do this kind of lifestyle. At the end, they are feeling regretful.
@cacay1 That's the reason I never avail any credit cards. I don't like to fall into temptations.

@acelawrites, that is insanity do shopping emptying the credit card only to suffer debt hard to pay. Debt of a credit card doubles every 2 years.

Shopping has not been one of my favorite thing to do even I am a woman. I just buy things that are necessary. I do not care if I wear same clothes for different ocassions. I love casual wears and if I have a dress, those are gifts from my boyfriend, same with gadgets too. My only vices are books and travels.

@Shavkat It is the same with me. I am not really into fashion. So once everyone see me in new clothes, all of them release an expression of "Wow!"

@annierose I guess there are only a few woman like you. Some are so materialistic and cannot find ways to control oneself. I also don't mind wearing old clothes. As long as I am presentable in the eyes of people.

@infatuatedbby That's the downside. I don't want to be in that position too.

@infatuatedbby I guess we really need to set limitations in shopping.

I don't find shopping very relaxing. I find it frustrating and it can make me sad. I don't buy things on credit unless it is a NEED. And we rarely have the cash for things that are not necessary, so shopping just makes me want things I can't afford and so don't buy.

@nonersays I agree. It is frustrating sometimes if we don't have extra cash for it.

You right that shopping is the best way to unwind for some people. That's why another word (or rather words) for shopping is "retail therapy".

We are different from each other in so many ways. Some find shopping exhilarating and satisfying, while others prefer the comfort of their own homes. I consider myself the latter. I'm more of a home bud, and I would only go out to shop if I really needed something from the store. I guess your friend is already a shopaholic. I dunno if it's a real medical condition. But I guess it's what you call someone who is addicted to shopping and maxing out their credit cards to shop.

Shopping actually makes me a little bored and uptight, which is a weird combination.
