l kept getting calls from that one scam where they ask you about a car accident that wasn't your fault. Ended up telling the lady l gave the number to the police and l haven't been bothered since

@Manishankarroy Thanks. Only way l knew to get them off my back. l tend to sleep in as l work late hours and the lady was ringing me at 9 a m.
Not sure if the police has done anything about it but l can only hope

The most popular one here is for someone to claim that they work for Microsoft and have detected a virus on your computer. You are then asked to allow them remote access so that they can solve the problem.
I have often had fun explaining why that is not possible, during which they usually hang up.

They are not innocent, they make full to innocent peoples. They are criminals.

Yes, my father once got such call from one mobile network company telling him that he has won some kind of special lottery conducted by the Company and thus they asked for his bank credentials so that they can transfer the so-called money into his bank account. On inquiry the call was found to be fraudulent.
