I recently got a fake call form a some person , stating ' I am calling form SBI bank" and asked me for ATM pin. I immediately abused for such criminal activity and disconnected, as I know that Bank never ask for ATM pin.

I had also experienced this. If I am in the mood talking, I just go along the scheme and make fun of them. I do act as so interested with it.

The most popular one here is for someone to claim that they work for Microsoft and have detected a virus on your computer. You are then asked to allow them remote access so that they can solve the problem. I have often had fun explaining why that is not possible, during which they usually hang up.

NO I haven't received any fake calls from a bank but occasionally I get something from a bank I don't even belong to in my email so I just delete it.

I have never received this kind of calls, but I can confirm that nobody has the right to ask for your PIN, not even the Bank.

How can they ask for PIN number? He must be quite innocent.

They are not innocent, they make full to innocent peoples. They are criminals.

Yes, my father once got such call from one mobile network company telling him that he has won some kind of special lottery conducted by the Company and thus they asked for his bank credentials so that they can transfer the so-called money into his bank account. On inquiry the call was found to be fraudulent.
