When I was in high school, I really love to spend my time in the school library. I also borrowed some novel books to take home for the weekend. Once I started to flip the pages, I cannot stop myself. It was like there is no another time or day. I was so timid during my high school days. A typical homebody student and I don’t like spending time with friends roaming around the city. At present, I had collected so many novel books and all packed in boxes. I am planning to have my mini-library to install all these book collections. Photo Credit: pixabay.com

@LadyDuck Now, I am so jealous. I must admit that I had stopped collecting some of my favorites authors' novels. But I found a thrift shop where I can have cheaper prices with good condition books.

@Shavkat Do not be too jealous, it's also a problem to store all those books.

If a book really holds my interest then I seem to be not able to put it down until the end. I have even been known to fall asleep with the book in my hand because I couldn't stay awake any longer.

We like reading and therefore sometimes we will buy books. Of course my husband, my son and I have different favorite books. The books are more and more and sometimes it is not easy to find a place to keep them. The bookselves are so full. So today we also borrow books from the libraries because this can make sure you will finish reading them soon. Besides, I also bought a Kindle. So at least keeping the Ebooks will be nice, too.

We are very much similar. I love books too. In fact, I always prefer books as gifts than dolls or any toys. My parents can leave me home alone as long as I have books to read. How long will it take you to finish one novel?

l'm probably the weirdest type of book reader ever. l believe most novels are a bit crap and work better as movies. l always preferred if you don't tell me something but show it too me and let me interpret for myself. That being said if a novel is really good l will read it. Also if it's star wars because l've become a bit of a completist there. l do however read lots of factual and philosophical books as l believe those truly enrich a person. Quality over quantity is definitely what l tend to go for.

@Marty1 l tend to read books on budism and taoism a lot. l seem to agree with those philosophies quite a lot though l wouldn't really identify as budist or taoist.
27 Jun 16
@Shavkat Oh yes you're absolutely right. But l never really get time. The last real life story l read was probably the Wolf of Wallstreet book a few years back. again l enjoyed the movie more on that one

@Shavkat Books are heavy and bulky when you move house. I always loved unpacking my books at a new house and setting them all up again. A lot of ours were bought second-hand.

I used to have a large library at home but had to reduce it to just my few very special favorite authors. Now I read them on my kindle and just downloaded an audible ap. Mostly for driving as the long trips alone are enjoyed more with a good book. I prefer the actual book and with hard covers!

@Jeanniemaries I am so jealous that you have a large library. If I can only have this, I would be the happiest person. I like hard books, especially the new one. The smell of the new books is so pleasant whenever I turn the pages.
