What is the scariest phone call you ever received?

I will open the discussion with a call I received One day I received a call from a woman who started yelling at me saying that "You stole my phone. Where are you? Give me my phone back!" I said calmly that "You are mistaken. I did not steal your phone." Then I hung up. Moments later, I received a call from the same number, now a man speaking "Where do you stay? Tell me! I will beat you black and blue!" He used threatening words in the local language. I hung up. I received calls all night from him, but I rejected the calls. Then 2 days later, I received a call from the same number and again the man on the other side accused me of stealing phone. I got real angry and I asked him why he thinks so. He told me that the number I was using was his before. Then I tried to convince him that it was mine. Then I remembered that in India, once a number is out of use for some months, that number is deactivated and up for sale again. It is informed before deactivating, but if the SIM is not in a phone for long, the owner cannot be contacted so the number gets deactivated. Normally, thieves remove the SIM card and break it after stealing a phone so may be the SIM got deactivated after months of no use and then when I purchased a SIM card from a shop, I got that number. So, then I explained to him to call the operator and ask for himself as to who is the owner of the number. He seemed to have called up and then I received a call of apology from him. It was very scary for some time, but thankfully it ended well. Have you received any creepy calls?

I have received threatening phone calls before asking for a particular person and If I don't rely the message they will get arrested.

I guess you just need to block his or her phone number.

That was 3 years before and I had a Nokia phone which did not have the call block facility. Now with the iPhone, life has become easier.
